15 Favourite Cover Songs Of All Time

If I'm completely honest, I prefer the listed cover versions to the originals. Covers are also an awesome solution if you like the song itself/the lyrics, but not the artist or genre. More than just a rip-off, covers allow you to look at the song from a different perspective, and can tell you a bit more about the respective artists.

1. Kellin Quinn - "Iris" (Goo-Goo Dolls Cover)

Sleeping With Sirens singer Kellin Quinn's cover of 'Iris' still brings tears to my eyes. I have no idea why I get so emotional listening to the song, but only this cover makes me feel so much. I just love Kellin's voice with the lyrics, especially the way he emphasizes certain parts of the song. Whenever I listen to this, I listen to it on repeat.

2. Framing Hanley - "Lollipop" (Lil Wayne Cover)

This cover is simply cool, their music video is ridiculous (in a good way), and doesn't take itself too seriously. Have you heard the chorus??? And lucky me got to hear this live!

3. Yashin - "One Step Closer" (Linkin Park Cover)

I've figured out what makes this whole song for me-it's Kevin Miles' unclean vocals. Yup, Kevin all the way. Oh, and the Yashin-typical breakdowns. Another song I feel blessed to have experienced live.

4. Thirty Seconds To Mars - "Bad Romance" (Lady Gaga Cover)

No, I can't go one post without mentioning THE guys. What could sound sexier than Lady Gaga's own voice on her song? Of course, Jared's voice and Shannon Leto's drums. Ps did you catch the French bit? You're welcome.
